The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru is set to kick off the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 examination from February 3, 2024. Scheduled across four days – February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024, the examination will take place in two shifts, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Admit Card Details: The admit card for GATE 2024 was released on January 4, 2024. Candidates appearing for the examination can download their hall ticket or admit card through the official website of IISc GATE at gate2024.ac.in. A direct link to download the admit card is provided for convenience.

Exam Day Guidelines: It is essential for candidates to acquaint themselves with the exam day guidelines and other instructions. Here are some key points to note:

  • Candidates are advised to arrive at their allotted seats 40 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination.
  • Access to login and reading the instructions will be available 20 minutes prior to the examination commencement.
  • A printed copy of the Admit Card on A4 paper, along with a valid original photo Identity Document (as specified during the online application process), must be presented for verification at the examination venue.
  • All test papers of GATE 2024 will be three hours in duration (four hours for candidates availing compensatory time), comprising 65 questions for a total of 100 marks.
  • Scribble pads will be provided for rough work, with candidates required to write their name and registration number before use. Only one scribble pad may be possessed at any time, with the first pad to be returned before obtaining a second one.
  • Prohibited items such as calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, and books are strictly prohibited in the exam halls.

As the GATE 2024 examination dates approach, candidates are urged to adhere to all guidelines and prepare diligently for the test.
