New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday unveiled the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) final ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, outlining the party’s vision and key promises for the national capital. The manifesto, titled Vikasit Dilli Sankalp Patra, aims to address the major concerns of Delhi residents and offers a roadmap for a developed, transparent, and corruption-free Delhi.

Shah emphasized the credibility of the BJP’s manifesto, asserting, “For BJP, a manifesto is a matter of trust, not empty promises.” He revealed that the document was shaped by inputs from over 1.08 lakh individuals and 62,000 groups, ensuring that it reflects the aspirations of the people of Delhi.

In his speech, Shah took sharp jabs at the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of making false promises and deceiving the electorate with “pretend innocence.” Shah pointed to Kejriwal’s earlier pledge not to provide official bungalows to ministers, only for ministers to reside in lavish residences, including the infamous “Sheesh Mahal.” “Kejriwal promised no minister would take government bungalows, yet they live in lavish houses,” Shah remarked.

Shah further criticized the AAP-led Delhi government for failing to deliver on its promises, particularly pointing out the lack of progress on cleaning the Yamuna River. “Delhiites are still waiting for Kejriwal to fulfill his promise of cleaning the Yamuna. If he can’t take a dip in it, he should at least go to the Kumbh and keep his word,” Shah quipped.

He also accused the Delhi government of widespread corruption, including its involvement in the excise scam, which he claimed was orchestrated by Delhi’s Education Minister. Shah added that Delhi’s issues with pollution and garbage management remained unresolved, despite the government’s promises.

The BJP’s manifesto promises to prioritize transparency, good governance, and development while addressing key urban challenges such as pollution, waste management, and corruption. Shah urged voters to choose a party that would work towards making Delhi a cleaner, more efficient, and prosperous city.
