The viral video clip is from Magarda village of Bhadesar tehsil of Chittaurgarh district in Rajasthan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Congress MLA in question is Rameela Khadiya, party district chief Resham Malviya and two other people who started dancing as soon as the national anthem started playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Uvzg2OKEhE\">pic.twitter.com\/Uvzg2OKEhE<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Megh Updates \ud83d\udea8\u2122 (@MeghUpdates) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MeghUpdates\/status\/1668887651586576384?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">June 14, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The video is being shared widely and the news about the Congress MLA and local leaders dancing on the stage during the national anthem playing in the background appeared in local editions of the newspaper as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several BJP workers and local party functionaries criticised the Congress party event for &#8220;insulting&#8221; the national anthem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per local reports, on Monday, Choti Sarwa in Magarda village was declared a panchayat samiti (rural local government body) and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot was present during the event.
