New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sudhanshu Trivedi launched a sharp attack on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, questioning the credibility of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led state government after a recent grenade attack on a senior BJP leader’s residence.

In a strongly worded statement, Trivedi said, “It is truly astonishing that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, while speaking in the Punjab Assembly, claims that he knows everything happening in the Congress party meetings in Delhi, implying that his intelligence agencies are capable of tracking internal affairs of opposition parties.”

He further pointed out the irony in Mann’s statement, highlighting the state government’s apparent failure to prevent an attack of such magnitude. “However, under the same government, in such a major city, a grenade attack is carried out on the house of a senior party leader, and the government remains completely unaware. This clearly shows that during the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party government, the morale of criminals and separatist elements is sky-high,” Trivedi added.

The grenade attack, which occurred recently, has raised questions over the security situation in Punjab and the preparedness of the intelligence machinery. No injuries were reported, but the incident has reignited concerns about law and order in the border state.
