The family has not disclosed the cause of death so far. Details about the funeral and last rites have also not been announced.
Krishna Mukerji was a former playback singer
Krishna Mukerji was known not only as Rani Mukerji’s mother but also for her connection with the Hindi film industry.
She was a former playback singer and was married to filmmaker Ram Mukerjee. Ram Mukerjee was one of the co-founders of Filmalaya Studios and died in October 2017 at the age of 84.
Krishna remained an important figure in Rani Mukerji’s personal life and was regarded as a major source of support for the actress.
Rani Mukerji’s recent public appearance
Rani Mukerji was recently in New York for designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s New York Fashion Week showcase on September 15.
