As the electrifying Cricket World Cup final between India and Australia captivates audiences at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Congress party set up grand screens at its Delhi headquarters to broadcast the much-anticipated showdown. At the Congress office, Party President Mallikarjun Kharge, accompanied by General Secretary KC Venugopal and other senior members, gathered to witness the thrilling match.

Kharge and Venugopal were observed seated together, engrossed in the action on the expansive screens installed specifically for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, and Rahul Gandhi, campaigning in Rajasthan’s Bundi, were expected to join the cricket fervor from their respective locations.

Expressing solidarity with the Indian cricket team, Mallikarjun Kharge, President of the Congress Party, conveyed heartfelt wishes along with Sonia Gandhi. They voiced the nation’s fervent support, rallying behind the team and hoping for their triumph in securing the World Cup.

In a different tone, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to his official social media account on X (formerly Twitter) to laud the exceptional achievements of the ‘Men in Blue’ throughout the World Cup. Shah highlighted the unwavering support of 140 crore citizens and cricket enthusiasts worldwide, urging Rohit Sharma’s team to seize victory in the highly anticipated final on Sunday.
