In the latest monthly revision, state-owned oil marketing companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹16.50, effective immediately. The 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder, widely used in hotels, restaurants, factories, and other industries, will now cost ₹1,818.50 in Delhi.

This adjustment is expected to impact commercial establishments and small businesses heavily reliant on these cylinders. Alongside the hike, prices for 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinders have also been raised by ₹4. This follows a significant increase of ₹62 in commercial cylinder prices last month.

Despite the rise in commercial rates, the cost of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged, providing some respite for households. The price stability in domestic cylinders comes amid fluctuating global market conditions influencing energy costs worldwide.

In parallel, the oil marketing companies have also increased aviation turbine fuel (jet fuel) prices by 1.45%, marking the second consecutive monthly rise. These pricing decisions are part of a broader trend of fuel price adjustments, typically reviewed on the first day of each month based on international market dynamics.

While businesses brace for the added financial burden, the unchanged domestic LPG rates offer a glimmer of relief for consumers navigating volatile fuel prices.
