Mumbai: A major scare was averted after Air India flight AI315, traveling from Hong Kong to Delhi, was forced to return to its origin due to a suspected technical issue mid-flight. The flight, operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, had taken off from Hong Kong with Delhi as its scheduled destination.
Reports revealed that the pilot detected an anomaly in the aircraft’s systems shortly after takeoff and, prioritizing passenger safety, made the decision to turn back. The aircraft safely landed at Hong Kong International Airport without incident.
