Free medical camp organised by 92 Battalion of the CRPF at Rajpora Zachaldara

Srinagar: The 92 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a free medical camp on Thursday at Rajpora area of Handwara under Civic Action Programme (CAP). More than 300 patients including children, women and elderly were treated and given free medicines. 

Though the main role of CRPF is to maintain internal security, even then we are always ready to provide assistance to the public by conducting medical camps. This unit will conduct more such camps to assist the local public in future.

While delivering vote of thanks Vijay Kumar, Commandant 92 Battalion CRPF briefly described the programme and stated that such programmes have been organized by the CRPF under its social responsibility schemes wherein they identify the needy segment of the society in their area of operations. 

In addition to this, the CRPF has its own CRPF Madadgaar helpline established at IGP, KOS, CRPF office at Pantha Chowk, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir through which financial assistance for the following aspects is also provided to the J&K Inhabitants by calling on Helpline No -14411. 

The Helpline provides assistance in – medical emergencies, essential medicines, blood donations, Haemodialysis, Chemotherapy, assistance to the needy, assistance to travellers, tourists, pilgrimages, scholarships, domestic violence, women in distress, drug de-addiction, public safety and security, recruitment, sports activities.

He also informed that the 92 CRPF Battalion has successfully hosted many such programmes and will continue in future too to help the needy segment. He hoped that such efforts will not only help the needy, but also dispel misconceptions about the force and make people friendlier to it.
