TALENTIA 20-20: Annual cultural festival of VES College of Arts, Science & Commerce

Talentia is an annual cultural festival of VES College of Arts, Science & Commerce,. The primary objective therefore is to provide the right platform for students to exhibit their talents in a variety of cultural events that fall under the Categories of Performing Arts, Fine arts & Literary arts. 

The theme for this year was “Navaras” means ‘Nine Emotions’ in which Nava signifies nine and Ras signifies Emotions. The nine emotions included in Navaras are Shringara (love/beauty), Hasya (laughter), Karuna (sorrow), Raudra (anger), Veera (heroism/courage), Bhayanaka (terror/fear), Bibhatsya (disgust), Shantha (peace or tranquility). These are the emotions that humans show according to the situations. As a way of ringing into festives we had a Prelude to Talentia on 7th, 8th and 9th of January’20 as Red and Black day, Rose/wear your culture  day, Chocolate day and Twins day. 

The event was well managed and organized under the guidance of the Trustee in-charge of our College Adv. Shri. LaxmanKanal , Principal  Dr. (Mrs) Anita Kanwar, Vice Principal Dr. (Mrs) Santhini Nair, Executive Administrator Rita Vazirani, Convener Talentia 2020- Dr. (Mrs) Sadhna Singh, Co-convener- Mrs. Varsha Ahuja and the Core team.

Day 1 of Talentia begin with the fine arts events like rangoli, mehendi, cold meal, collage making to name a few. We had a turnout of 100 students for these events . Simultaneously in other classrooms, the literary arts events were in full swing where they were indulged in poetry writing and story writing. Later the same day by noon we began with the performing arts events including solo and duet dance which was judged by Farhan Shaikh, Laxmi Nair and NidhiGeria. Mr. and Mrs. Talentia followed by Fashion show where PriyaGibile and Dhanesh Kandhari accompanied and guided us. This all continued with maximum participation of 110 students which also followed with solo and duet  singing judged by Mr. SanjeevPadawe and Dr. Dimple Padawe.

Day2 also included some new events that were Rap music which was judged by known personalities Mr. KrunalPanchal and John Mathew followed by group dance were Mr. PiyushSen, MeghanaSheth and Swana Mishra indulged with the students. Also we made sure that our backdrop signifies the importance of our theme ‘Navras’ which was made by the students.
