Coronavirus impact: International flights banned in India from March 22 to a week

Central government has decided that no international flight will be allowed to land in India from March 22 for a week, the decision is taken to curb coronaviorus in the nation. India had already suspended visas for the vast majority of foreigners seeking to enter the country.

In a notice hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation, the government also advised citizens above 65 to stay at home unless they are public representatives or doctors or government employees.

Earlier in the day, SpiceJet also suspended majority of our international operations from March 21 till April 30. “We are forced to temporarily suspend majority of our international operations from March 21 till April 30. We will resume the suspended flights as soon as the situation normalises,” the airlines told ANI.
